"A handwoven poem in silk and gold, carrying the soul of Maharashtra in every weave."
The Fabric: Our Paithani collection is crafted from the finest 2-ply pure mulberry silk, known for its rich, heavy texture and an unmistakable natural sheen. What makes a Paithani truly magical is its "changeable" look—the way the colors shift and glow under different lights. This is a saree that doesn't just sit on the body; it drapes with a regal weight, offering a silhouette that has been the pride of Maharashtrian royalty for over 2,000 years.
The Artistry: The hallmark of a true Paithani is its hand-woven tapestry-style pallu. Our artisans use the ancient "oblique square" weaving technique to create vivid, kaleidoscopic motifs like the Bangadi-Mor (peacock in a bangle), Muniyas (parrots), and the sacred Kamal (lotus). With borders shimmering in pure gold zari and edges finished with the delicate Muniya design, each saree is a labor of love that can take weeks, or even months, to complete on a handloom.
